I - of course - hope he does what is best for him. He has put himself through a lot. While I would be really sad if he retired it would be for the best.

He has such talent I can't think that no matter what he would have a place in the WWE, be it as a talent scout, trainer, occasional on air personality, etc.... that is if he wanted it. Even if this is the news we fear, I can see him coming back in a few years for a big match or two, especially if the right opponent is lined up and could really use the rub.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves though. This might be good news or at least not the worst news. Maybe it is the rumble. Maybe he is announcing that he shaved his beard. Maybe he and Bri are going to make person. Maybe he is announcing himself as Punk's first MMA opponent. WHO KNOWS!?!?!

I don't know why I'm so pessimistic about this, but I'm still not 100% sure he's going to be in the rumble

I'm operating under the premiss that WWE is at least smart enough to know if Daniel Bryan is in the Rumble IN PHILLY FOR GODSAKE that he has to win or the crowd will make Pittsburgh look tame in comparison, and I just can't see risking putting a guy with a neck injury in the ring with Brock at Mania with the amount of damage Brock would have to do to him to have that match make sense

I think the authority somehow screws Bryan out of his rumble spot

I hope I'm wrong and maybe his neck injury wasn't as bad as everyone claimed but right now I just kind of have my doubts

I think Roman's string of horrendous promos may have hurt his push. The last couple weeks WWE has barely let him talk. I'm really thinking they might have pulled the plug on his Rumble win for this year.

It feels like they have taken their foot off the gas a bit with reigns. Perhaps they have been paying more attention to the tea leafs as it were, seeing that the fans were preparing themselves to turn on Reigns unless he really steps it up. It is just clear as day that he isn't ready. He connects with fans in a way that you just can't teach. I really think Dragon can help give the company some direction and order.

My biggest hope is that whatever happens, Dragon isn't putting himself in unnecessary danger. I obviously have no more info than anyone else so I assume that his injuries have been somewhat exaggerated by speculation and can only assume that if he is coming back, specifically if he is going to be main eventing eventually, that he is in good shape and ready to go.

i mean, dean and Rollins are doing well, but really besides bryan the only guys who are really over are in NXT in zayn, neville and steen. no besides bryan on their main roster can get the fans going, and they can't bring punk back, the only other guy i feel who can also do well. as much as i prefer to see someone else main eventing mania, it is gonna have to be bryan unless a new guy comes in (most likely not happening), or they choose someone else on the roster like dean or rollins.

i wish there could be a six man ladder match, brock v.s. reigns, ambrose dean and cesaro winning rumble (in a tie) w/ bryan or someone else, and this won't happen.

A source close to the WWE has noted that WWE Executive Producer Kevin Dunn has been 'burying' Daniel Bryan to Vince McMahon for quite some time. One main point that Dunn feels strongly about is Daniel Bryan's injury. It is also believed that some WWE officials agree with Dunn and question Bryan's reliability as the top guy in the company.
