From his Twitter: Due to medical reasons, effective immediately, I am announcing my retirement. Tonight on Raw, I'll have a chance to elaborate. #gratitude

I feel very selfish for not wanting it to be over, but I don't want him to go. He has to do what's right for he and his family, and nobody wants to see him wind up like Dynamite Kid or countless others who didn't walk away soon enough. But it seems a cruel twist of fate that just as all this amazing talent is on the way from NXT, that Bryan won't be able to create more masterpieces in the ring with them.

    Thank you for everything Bryan.

It's a shame that he didn't really got a shot in the WWE until the point in time that he did, because he had so much more to offer, even more so than he already accomplished during his relatively brief run.

It's very unfortunate that he couldn't end his career on his terms, but perhaps it's for the best.

Hope he has an amazing long and happy life for all the great memories he's given me, there will never be anyone like him

Hot take: I'm really gonna miss Bryan Danielson. I'm off tomorrow so I'm definetly gonna pull out a bunch of DVDs and watch some stuff.

In a weird way I kind of wish I hadn't watched his goodbye, at least not tonight. All day I felt like I had come to terms with what this meant and thought I had accepted it, but watching his send off I just wasn't prepared at all, and was hit with this overwhelming sadness about everything, just seeing him be that genuine reminded me of the caliber of performer and person we will be missing from now on.

Not going repeat what been said already so I will say I hope he doesn't fully disappear on us ... Sure, he on Total Divas but how much longer will that be? Would be great to see him with a podcast or even a WWE network show.

It would really freshen up Raw if he was a babyface authority figure, but that's not gonna happen.

Same thing I was thinking. The Authority storyline has to end at sometime.....right.....?

MCMG v Bryan/Aries was really great, not sure why I didn't remember it being this good, but it was really killer stuff

Didn't see it but on ESPN Bryan said he was having seizures that he didn't tell anyone about and the new test showed a lesion on his brain that was causing them.
