ALSO, as far as the G1 goes, is it not possible they are doing the same blocks just spread out over more dates with more non-tournament matches?

Interestingly enough, I actually saw a .gif on Twitter of AJ and Low Ki doing the exact same finish over 10 years ago in a match they had in Zero1. Crazy to see AJ bust that out so many years later in a big time match in New Japan.

Yea there really should be an app by now. Even if it's on the Japanese store and I have to do some trickery to get it

The problem is, it just isn't doing well, Meltzer reported they only have 22,000 subscribers, I really do fear that if it doesn't pick up steam in the 2nd half of the year it maybe done by next year

I know projections and outlook were smaller for NJPW, but this still has to be kind of a bummer

I mean I'm not going to pretend to understand the Japanese economy and culture, but you'd think apps for smart TVs, game consoles etc. would drive up subscriptions. Only being able to watch on your computer or phone has to be a turn off to some people.

I canceled UFC Fight Pass for the same reason (although they finally got it on Xbox so I may resubscribe soon).

I too would likely subscribe to New Japan World and not even consider cancelling if it was functional on a game console.

I guess I am more of the mindset of if something isn't going great why chase after it by investing more money into it, although to be perfectly honest I have no idea how much it would cost to develop the app


Don't get me wrong I would love nothing more than a PS4 app, but honestly I'm just glad this is still a thing

I was bored during Extreme Rules so I re-watched some of Invasion Attack, and goddamn that Omega/Dorada match is great, so much fun watching it back

so my NJPWWorld sub just got cancelled.

I think this is my bad, my old debit card would have expired in april so i probably never updated njpwworld with the new date. But i keep trying to update and i am getting japanese error codes that roughly translate to "server is busy, try again later".

Just to be sure, this isn't happening to anyone else right?

EDIT: got it to work, i did in fact just have to try again later.

I watched some of the Hinokuni card today

I was pretty disappointed with Ishii/Makabe, like it was good, but not as good as I was hoping, probably a little behind their WK9 match IMO, I think they went too long for the style of match they wanted to work and it felt like it didn't build or change gears IMO, a very kind of one note match

BOSJ n1 was a fun easy watch, Liger/Komatsu, shelley/finlay, trent/kyle, rocky/fish, nick/tiger mask, kushida/dorada and gedo/taguchi all really fun which only leaves Chase Owens v Cavanero, man Chase Owens is a bummer

Speaking of the BOSJ, New Japan on AXS TV returns tonight with matches from the BOSJ XXI in 2014. The featured match of tonight's episode will be KUSHIDA vs. Ricochet.
