TLC Discussion Thread

I thought I would go ahead and start it. I wont be able to watch tonight, but I hope to catch a replay if it seems worth while.

While I am not totally excited about this card, I think it will us a lot about the direction a lot of wrestlers will take heading into the Wrestlemania homestretch.

Thoughts?

Predictions?

the card looks terrible. and there will probably be a screwy finish. so, not looking forward to it.

There are a few things I like about the card.

1. Lots of talent in the body of the card. Even though two handicap matches dominate most of that talent, they should deliver on entertainment. They will probably disappoint on results though. I am really starting to believe that the WWE is playing long ball with Dragon. The whole "Vince and Management hate Daniel Bryan" thing seems too disconnected from reality to be as legit as they try to make it, working the internet and what not. Maybe I am being optimistic, but I tend to think they have plans.

2. The Shield may be moving on and this will likely be a key nodal point in that. I love the Shield and I would be ok with a few more months of them, but I am not at all upset at the idea of them getting a crack at each other and then the rest of the roster. I just REALLY hope that Rollins and Ambrose don't get lost in the Roman Reigns push.

3. It is time to get down to one title and this is at least a start. I don't think we are going to be satisfied at all by the result of tonight, but at least it will get there. Also, Cena is really good with gimmick matches. They should do ok for the match.

4. The Diva's match at least has women who can go. It may not be selling any ppvs but at least it doesn't feature the dead weight of the division.

5. That tag team match will be fun. It just will.



Ok, all that said, I am not going out of my way to see it. This is a transition event in big event clothes. If Cena turns heel (which wont happen, but the time is RIPE) or even starts a heel turn, this whole thing could be worth it.

I would have like to seen the tag team titles be a ladder match with Mysterio/show out, Usos in but and maybe Big E vs Sandow being a tables match.

i'm still expecting one of the handicap matches to be turned into a chairs match.

I'll prolly try to catch some of it. If for nothing else than NFL is frustrating me today lol

Haven't really decided if I am going to watch it or not. Then again, I dunno if I want my last wrestling memories of the week to be of that god awful Feast or Fired battle royal... Decisions, decisions...

May I remind ya'll that we need to break in our chatroom... Might make TLC worth watching.

I'm sort of looking forward to what they'll do with Orton/Cena otherwise...meh. Tag match will be fun.

I think we are all in agreement at how lackluster the show was.

Yeah, nothing i read about that made me want to watch it after the fact. I really get frustrated with the E when they put on shows like this. They have so much talent on the roster right now. There is really no reason to not deliver on PPV.

I stayed in the chat for like 20 minutes, and bailed cause the show kind of sucked, seems like I made the right call

The main event was a reverse swerve.

We all expected a swerve. But there was no swerve. So we were swerved by there being no swerved.

We should just say screw it and stream late 90s Raw/Nitro episodes on Monday nights and the PPVs once a month.

But for real we should have old wrestling stream night.
