Impact looking for a home
According to various sites, TNA is in talks to have Impact on WGN. Apparently, WGN is still pissed that WWE 'burned' them by giving them Main Event, instead of Smackdown.

Re: Impact looking for a home
two bad choices first the hd only station veliocity now WGN America does TNA realize people in chicago doesn't get WGN America due that chicago's WGN is also CW network. the only way chicago people can get it if they have dish or direct tv. unless they work out deal with local wgn to air impact on different night on local feed of WGN in chicago after cw programing ends or on weekends afternoons wen there is no network programing

Also, no one ever watches WGN, so get ready for consistent .8's

Unless something new has come up, Meltzer said there was no way WGN was an option like weeks ago when the "canceled" news broke. They're changing their format (dropping chicago sports) and they aren't interested in wrestling after Main Event didn't do so hot.

I watch it every day. Either a watching what the Cubs are doing. HIMYM reruns or even real late when they show It's Always Sunny reruns. Also they had a fairly decent first run drama called Salem that did decent ratings.

Re: Impact looking for a home
living in IL don't get wgn america,so can't comment on that.
wgm americas plan is to follow suite of tbs and become a basic cable channel since its the only superstation left(wtbs became basic cable in 2007) The question is will cable co's like comcast or uverse carry them.

This is like me saying I watch Comcast Sportsnet because the Flyers are on it.

TNA moving to new Network in January
According to prowrestling.net, Dixie Carter addressed the TNA talent during the last set of TV tapings in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The wrestlers were reportedly told that TNA will have a new TV home in January. The company will run Impact on Spike TV through the rest of 2014.
While not confirmed, the feeling at this time is that the TV deal could be announced this week. The company may opt to hold off and announce the deal closer to the Bound for Glory PPV. The network floating around as the company’s destination seems to be WGN America. Carter was in Chicago back on September 10th and some have speculated that she was negotiating with the Tribune Media Company. The Tribune Media Company owns WGN America, and is based out of Chicago.

Apparently, I've heard they're trying really hard to phase out of Chicago sports (I guess they're trying to model themselves after TBS, you know besides adding Wrestling to their schedule). But honestly right now those Cubs games probably get the best ratings on the station.

Re: Impact looking for a home
For what it's worth, both WrestleZone and Cageside Seats have been claiming that TNA is in the process of finalizing a renewal with SpikeTV, as John Gaburick was recently in New York to handle that.
Of course, it's also noted that TNA would be receiving a reduced rate as apart of this deal.

I do hope they stay with spike, wgn america isn't the best unless cable companies in il decide to carry it next year when the become a basic cable channel like tbs.
