I can see him taking some time away from the ring, maybe working a few select indy dates and back in WWE in a year or two unless there some bitterness

When Dusty passes away he should have went back to Cody. He would have been a hot babyface. Instead he stayed as Stardust for #reasons.

Re: WWE signings and releases
WWE has granted Adam Rose's request to be released.
Also Meltzer said on last night observer audio show that despite being released by WWE, Cody Rhodes is still being held to his WWE contract and the split is "not amicable." Meltzer said that WWE is "kind of putting the screws to him," and that since Rhodes quit, they are trying to make it hard for him contractually to do anything for another wrestling company.

Re: WWE signings and releases
I think the return of the split canceled the rumor round of more releases, I am guessing WWE will just go back for the next while to letting contacts expire or talent will have to ask to be released like Rose, Cody and his wife did.
Court Bauer mentioned on his podcast that Tommy End is about locked in and heading to NXT in the Fall.

I think Cody could do better at NEW Japan I hope he negotiates a contract with them!
Since new Japan is almost going to be the #2 for biggest wrestling business

Re: WWE signings and releases
Based on his "wishlist" picture, I could see Cody Rhodes doing the ROH/New Japan combo deal, much like AJ Styles did or the Young Bucks and various others are currently doing. He also is clearly interested in working PWG, and with their recent announcement of a partnership with ROH, that would allow him to work there as well.
I could also see that occurring with contracts as well, since WWE just needs bodies to fill the rosters on both shows.
Tommy End has been getting a ton of buzz over the last year, so his signing seems imminent. I haven't seen much of his work (just a few free matches posted on PROGRESS and RevPro's YouTube channels), but he definitely has a unique style that could help him stand apart in WWE. His shoot background (he was a professional kickboxer and a striking coach for UFC heavyweight Stefan Struve) definitely gives him that aura of credibility as well.

Meltz in the latest observer is saying along with Tommy End, it is expected that Moose, Big Damo and Noam Dar will be reporting to the Performance Center in September if they pass medicals.

Re: WWE signings and releases
WWE becoming more international
Announced last week
http://www.wwe.com/worldwide/article/wwe-signs-bin-wang-first-chinese-developmental-talent
WWE has signed 22-year-old Bin Wang to a developmental contract, making him the first Chinese athlete to have the opportunity to train to become a WWE Superstar.
Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative, oversaw the historic contract signing, which was held today at a press conference in Shanghai’s Mercedes-Benz Arena.
Hailing from Anhui, Wang has trained for the past two years in Japan at the Inoki Genome Federation, a wrestling and mixed martial arts promotion founded by WWE Hall of Famer Antonio Inoki. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound recruit will relocate to Orlando, Florida, this Sunday to begin training at the WWE Performance Center.
“It is an honor to be the first-ever Chinese talent in WWE history,” Wang said in a press statement. “There are no fans in the world that show the same passion as the WWE Universe, and I look forward to training and developing my skills so I can perform for them in the future.”
The announcement capped off a major week in WWE’s efforts to discover Chinese talent, coming as WWE concluded a four-day tryout — the first it has ever held in the country. WWE also announced at the press conference that it will hold its first Live Event in China in more than three years in Shanghai on Saturday, Sept. 10, as well as that it has signed a new agreement with PPTV to deliver Raw and SmackDown in Mandarin.

For the WWE Universe in Germany, a longstanding source of speculation has become a reality: Tim Wiese, the former German national goalkeeper, has accepted a personal invitation from Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events & Creative, to join the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, for an extended training period.
Wiese, who played for Germany’s national team between 2008 and 2012, plus defended between the sticks for Bundesliga soccer clubs SV Werder Bremen and TSV 1899 Hoffenheim, took to Twitter to make what was a short but definitive statement regarding his acceptance of Triple H’s invitation:

Re: WWE signings and releases
Internet rumblings has Moose might not being a lock, like it was thought.. He had a domestic violence issue in 2009 with his then wife, Which also could be a reason that Kurt Angle won't be back anytime soon, cause of his past issues.

Re: WWE signings and releases
While I get that WWE is very image-conscious about anything concerning domestic violence, it would be very unfortunate if an issue from 7 years ago ended up costing Moose an opportunity to the WWE.
This is because whatever may have occurred back then has clearly not been an issue, as he hasn't been involved in another act of this nature since then.
I realize how serious domestic violence is, but it's not fair for an individual to be continually punished for it, when he served his time for the incident and has been staying out of trouble ever since.

Re: WWE signings and releases
As A.J. Styles would say, Kota Ibushi “bet on himself” leaving his home country of Japan for an opportunity with WWE.
Ibushi exited New Japan for a chance to join WWE’s inaugural Cruiserweight tournament, and now has signed an NXT-level deal, PWTorch learned Friday.
Ibushi wrestled at Thursday night’s NXT TV tapings to signal an increase in his involvement with WWE beyond the Cruiserweight tournament.
PWTorch also learned that Gran Metalik (Mascara Dorada in Mexico) has agreed to a deal with WWE following his successful debut in the Cruiserweight tournament.
Metalik (Dorada) has been a mainstay in CMLL for a decade and toured with New Japan in recent years. Metalik’s relationship with Finn Balor (formerly Prince Devitt in NJPW) brought Metalik to WWE.
– WWE also has several tournament wrestlers on their radar for potential signings.
Included are Zack Sabre, Jr., Cedric Alexander, Lince Dorado, Akira Tozawa, and Jack Gallagher.
The signing process will likely take months and they would all finish their indie dates and/or other commitments before reporting to WWE’s Performance Center if the deals go through.
The overseas signings are especially complex and could take longer than the wrestlers that reside in the U.S.

Re: WWE signings and releases
I mean these guys weren't leaving Njpw, cmll, roh etc for a one off tournament. I would guess they were pretty much told they'd be signed, or were told the tournament was a tryout.

Re: WWE signings and releases
From the latest Observer..
Cedric Alexander, 26, Kota Ibushi, 34, Mascara Dorada, 27, and Akira Tozawa, 30, from the cruiserweight classic group are believed to have been offered contracts and are headed in. Yoshihiro Tajiri, 45, is also under consideration.
There has been interest in WWE regarding Rush and Volador Jr., who have been CMLL’s standout main eventers of late, with Rush the company’s best heel and Volador its most pushed non-older legend babyface. It’s not clear how far things have gone as far as if it’s been green lit to make a play or if there has been direct contact.
Deonna Purrazzo is another name that has been talked about, which makes sense since they’ve used her a lot of NXT television and she had good camera presence.
Paul Heyman’s contract with WWE has expired and at this point the sides haven’t come to an agreement for a renewal, so he was never mentioned as coming to Raw with Lesnar.
Tommaso Ciampa, 31, and Johnny Gargano, 28, will be going full-time shortly, probably around October, to WWE, probably through NXT. Both are finishing up their independent bookings right now.
Non observer news
According to pwinsider, Rhyno and Curt Hawkins have been signed to join Smackdown

Gargano's last indy show is in September, excited for those guys. With the brands now they wouldn't get swallowed up and have a shot, also for now they can focus on them more in NXT.

Re: WWE signings and releases
Pro Wrestling Sheet is claiming that Jinder Mahal also may be returning to the WWE.
I really don't have an issue with guys like him, Hawkins, and Rhyno (who has been doing some solid work in NXT) returning for main roster WWE runs.
Rush & Volador would be fantastic additions to the WWE, even though WWE continually struggles to properly promote Mexican wrestlers. Volador would especially be a perfect fit for the Cruiserweight division.
The names from the CWC being offered deals is no surprise, as there definitely had to be an end-game goal to this tournament, rather than just having great matches on the Network.

Apparently SB hurt himself and won't be joining SmackDown, so this leaves the door open for Curt Hawkins and Tajiri to save it

For Shelton it was an existing injury that was found during his WWE Physical. He didn't even know about it at the time.
