Week 1: Announcer: Greg Hamilton

- Greg Hamilton opens the show by introducing the new NXT champion, Finn Balor. Finn talks about how proud he is to be champion at the he plans to leave Takeover as champion. It's also announced there will be a contract signing later tonight.

- Eva Marie def. Cassie.

- Baron Corbin def. A Jobber

- Samoa Joe def. Mike Rallis

- Bayley def. Emma w / Dana Brooke.
Post Match: Bayley says she is focused on winning the NXT Women's Title. To get there, she has to go through the best, and that's Charlotte.

- The Vaudevillains def. Sawyer Fulton and Angelo Dawkins.

- Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, and William Regal all attended a contract signing in the ring. Owens details everything he accomplished over the last six months and that he plans to become the first 2 time NXT champion. Finn tells Owens he is going to make him eat those words. Owens starts a brawl, including sucker punching Regal. Finn gets the upper hand and runs Owens off.

Post Match: Dawson and Wilder laid out the Hype Bros.

Week 4: Announcer: Dasha Fuentes

- Baron Corbin def. Axel Tischer.
Post Match: Corbin cuts a promo complaining about the competition and that no one gets up from the End of Days. Corbin goes after Tischer again, but Steve Cutler comes out to try and make a save, but gets laid out. Corbin starts talking again until Samoa Joe comes out. The two challenge each other, until they end up brawling, with Joe choking Corbin out in the end.

- Finn Balor def. Marcus Louis.
Post Match: Kevin Owens comes out and lays Finn out with two Pop Up Power Bombs.

- Bayley def. Becky Lynch to become the number 1 contender for the NXT Women's Title. Sasha Banks was on commentary.

Notes:
- As expected, any mentions of Takeover being in Brooklyn were met with negative crowd reactions.

- This marks the official TV debut of Dasha Fuentes as a ring announcer. I assume this means Jojo is now full time on the main roster.

- Samoa Joe has new theme music.

- The next tapings are scheduled for August 13. This puts them before Takeover. I'm interested to see if they go full spoilers or get creative and book around it.

The next tapings before Takeover is very odd, as I recall takeover was originally supposed to be on that Wednesday so I guess they had the date, but it really wouldn't surprise me if it was more of a house show than a TV taping, like a special network level show to appease the full sail fans maybe?

They still have to tape the go home show that night to air Aug 19. They could do some barebones episodes like they had to do after they taped before Beast in the East.

Also WWE plucking wrestlers from every promotion on TV as Paragon Pro Wrestling's Jesse Sorenson had the tryout match against Corbin.

ALSO, Eva Marie is doing the sliced bread #2 as a finish.

Some of these matches might be spread out to make an extra episode and filled out with video packages/backstage segments. Even though there are a lot of enhancement matches, most of these shows are averaging 5 matches, with one even having 6. That's not typical for an episode of NXT.

I could also see WWE doing a Takeover preview show, or running an episode where they combine old footage with one or two of these new matches like they did last week when they re-aired Owens vs. Balor from Japan special.

Is that former TNA wrestler Jesse Sorenson?

And I can't believe I'm saying this, but I am excited for an Eva Marie match.

1. Riddick Moss (f/k/a Mike Rallis) beat Elias Samson.

August 19 show

The show opened with the contract signing for the NXT Women's Championship match at Takeover Brooklyn. Bayley thanked everyone for their support and said without them, she wouldn't be where she is, getting ready for the biggest match of her career. She said everyone can feel it including Sasha; it's Bayley's time. Sasha said they're going to fight at NXT's biggest show ever. She said she's not ratchet and she's the baddest diva in WWE. She admitted Bayley is good, but not at Sasha's level. She said at Takeover, she'll cement her legacy as the greatest NXT Women's Champion in history.

Bayley said she's ready to fight right now. Sasha said that Charlotte and Becky Lynch were the real threats to the NXT Women's Championship and Bayley isn't. Sasha said that there's a reason she's on Raw and Summerslam and Bayley isn't, because Bayley is a loser. Sasha said she's going to teach all the little girls that fairy tales don't have happy endings. Sasha decided she wasn't going to fight Bayley there, but Bayley attacked her anyway. It ended with referees pulling the two ladies apart.

1. Tyler Breeze squashed an enhancement wrestler. Breeze won with a superkick and then put Liger mask on his opponent. Then, Breeze hit the Beauty Shot and pinned the guy again.

2. Enzo Amore, Colin Cassady, Mojo Rawley, and Zack Ryder over Aaron Solow, Mr. 450, Jesse Sorensen, and a fourth enhancement wrestler.

3. NXT Tag Champions Blake and Murphy (w/ Alexa Bliss) beat Sawyer Fulton and Angelo Dawkins in a non-title match. Afterwards, The Vaudevillains came out and were about to reveal their plan to combat Bliss at Takeover, but she slapped English mid-sentence and he never completed the thought.

4. Samoa Joe squashed a jobber. Post-match, Baron Corbin attacked and laid Joe out with End of Days.

Kevin Owens came out with a ladder. He said Full Sail reminds him of John Cena because there's nothing genuine about it or the fans who go there. He called the fans ungrateful. He said that they claim they want NXT to grow, but then they boo whenever Brooklyn is mentioned. Owens said his loss in Japan was a fluke and at Takeover it's going to be a Kevin Owens that nobody has seen before. He said it will be "Climb Owens Climb" and he'll get back what is rightfully his, the NXT Championship.

The lights cut out, and when they picked back up, Finn Bálor was perched on the top turnbuckle. There is a stare-down between Owens on the ladder and Bálor on the turnbuckle before it broke down into a brawl. Bálor ended up getting the better of Owens and said that at Takeover Brooklyn, he's going to kick Owens's ass and shut his mouth.

August 26 show

1. Sasha Banks beat an enhancement wrestler. Sasha had the NXT Women's Championship with her, but that could be nothing.

2a. The Ascension beat Rhyno and Baron Corbin by DQ. The Ascension were crazy over with the Full Sail crowd, who met them with numerous "welcome back" chants. William Regal came out and ordered the match be restarted.

2b. Baron Corbin and Rhyno over The Ascension.

3. Alexa Bliss beat Blue Pants.

4. Apollo Crews def. Martin Stone.

5. Eva Marie beat Billie Kay (f/k/a Jessie McKay).

6. Chad Gable and Jason Jordan beat Neville and Solomon Crowe. This was said to be the best thing on the show by a wide margin. Neville was crazy over with the Full Sail Crowd as well.

September 2 show

1. Carmella submitted Peyton Royce (f/k/a KC Cassidy).

2. Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano beat Bull Dempsey and Tyler Breeze. You read that right. Gargano and Ciampa are doing freelance work and are not under contract. Camp got the surprise win on Bull when Bull accidentally ran into Breeze. Post-match, Breeze attacked Bull.

3. Dana Brooke pinned Billie Kay.

Might have gave away winner of match at Take Over: read at your own risk

Spoiler:

Aside from the first episode, there's a chance that the remaining episodes don't actually air.

Considering how random the remaining matches are, I could easily see the other two episodes being simply for the live crowd, and select footage being spliced into future episodes and used in highlight reel videos.

A similar situation occurred early last year when NXT filmed two episodes that would air before and two episodes that were supposed to air after NXT ArRIVAL, but then they scrapped the post-ArRVIAL episodes, and simply inserted Adam Rose's debut match into a later episode.

Bayley defends against Sasha in a 30 minute Iron Man match

Not crazy about Iron Man Matches, but glad the women are getting the main event spot

* Tyler Breeze is out first followed by Adam Rose. Bull Dempsey is out next and says he’s here to bat Tyler. Bull takes out Rose but Breeze escapes. Bull demands a match

* Tye Dillinger defeated one of the enhancement talents

* Apollo Crews defeated Solomon Crowe with a standing moonsault. Crews got a big pop and this was a great match

* Rhyno and Baron Corbin defeated Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa in a Dusty Rhodes Classic match when Corbin pinned Gargano with End of Days. This was another really good match

* Bayley defeated Sarah Dobson. Sasha Banks cuts a promo after the match and Bayley vs. Sasha for the title at Takeover in a 30-minute Ironwoman Match is announced to a huge pop

Episode 2:

* Jason Jordan and Chad Gable defeated The Mechanics

* Eva Marie defeated Carmella by count out. Huge heat for Eva here

* Bull Dempsey vs. Tyler Breeze is next Breeze knocks Bull off the top rope and pins him with his feet on the ropes

* NXT General Manager William Regal has a desk set up in the ring to introduce Kana. Her new name is Asuka. Emma and Dana Brooke come down to berate her and say they are the ones who run NXT. Asuka leaves sadly

* Blake and Murphy vs. The Vaudevillians for the NXT Tag Team Titles is next. Blue Pants comes out to chase away Alexa Bliss and make it 2 on 2. The Vaudevillians win clean

Episode 3:

* Apollo Crews defeated Johnny Gargano with the press slam and standing moonsault

* Dana Brooke and Emma defeated Peyton Royce and Billie Kay when Dana hit her finisher

* Tyler Breeze defeated Tommaso Ciampa. This was a good long match with Ciampa getting in a lot of offense but Breeze hit the Unprettier for the win

* Finn Balor and Samoa Joe defeated Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady in the second Dusty Classic match of the night. Joe hit a Musclebuster and Finn hit the Coup de Grace for the win in the main event

I'm guessing Samoa Joe & Finn Balor will make it to the finals so that Finn doesn't have to defend his Title at Take-Over next month. They will lose, leading to a heel Samoa Joe facing off against Finn Balor at Take-Over: UK at Wembly Arena this December. It'd be a big main event for what will likely be NXT's largest show ever.

October 14th Episode:

* NXT Women's Champion Bayley opens the show with a promo but is interrupted by Alexa Bliss. At one point Bliss snatches the title from Bayley and throws it back at her before leaving.

* NXT Tag Team Champions The Vaudevillains defeated Sawyer Fulton and Angelo Dawkins. They pinned Fulton first then did a quick re-take, pinning Dawkins.

* Nia Jax debuts and defeats Evie from SHINE.

* A #1 contenders battle royal is next. Participants include Samoa Joe, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Apollo Crew, Scott Dawson, Dash Wilder, Blake, Murphy, Rhyno, Baron Corbin, Enzo Amore, Colin Cassady, Bull Dempsey, Zack Ryder, Mojo Rawley, Tyler Breeze, Tye Dillinger and maybe one or two others. The final four comes down to Joe, Crews, Breeze and Corbin. Breeze gets eliminated and pulls Joe out. Joe chases him away. Corbin and Crews go at it. Crews gets the win and future title shot to a huge pop.

October 21st Episode:

* Asuka defeated Billie Kay by submission.

* Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady with Carmella defeated The Mechanics but got beat down after the match.

* James Storm came out to a huge pop and quickly defeated Danny Burch with Eye of the Storm. Storm led the crowd in a clap & cheer after the match.

* Alexa Bliss defeated Peyton Royce with the Sparkle Splash. Bliss cut a promo after the match but you can barely hear her due to the boos. She says she's coming for Bayley and the NXT Women's Title.

* Baron Corbin defeated Rhyno in a really good match.

October 28th Episode:

* Emma defeated Australian women's wrestler Shazza McKenzie by submission.

* Chad Gable and Jason Jordan defeated Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano. Gable and Jordan got a huge pop and were like "made men" in the NXT arena. Fans sung their their names to the tune of Kurt Angle's theme song and chanted "let's go Gable, Johnny wrestling." Gable and Jordan won a great match with the Assistplex.

* Nia Jax defeated Kay Lee Ray from Scotland with a slam.

* The Mechanics attack Enzo and Big Cass, beating them down. They do an injury angle with Cass as doctors come check on him in the ring. This was clearly an angle as The Mechanics pulled his brace off and worked the knee over when they first attacked him.

* Samoa Joe vs. Tyler Breeze is next. This match had some amazing nearfalls with Breeze almost stealing wins. Joe won by submission.

* NXT Champion Finn Balor defeated Tye Dillinger in a great match with the Coup de Grace.

November 4th Episode:

* Asuka defeated Cameron by submission

* Bull Dempsey defeated Angelo Dawkins

* Eva Marie defeated Gionna Daddio, now using the name Marley, and got huge heat

* Apollo Crews vs. Finn Balor for the NXT Title is next. They get spotlight introductions and it has a big-fight feel. This said to be an amazing match. Finn hit Bloody Sunday and it was unreal. Baron Corbin ran down for the disqualification and laid both men out. Samoa Joe then ran down for the save but he turned on Finn and laid him out for the heel turn

November 11th Episode:

* Adrien Reese (Athena) defeated Peyton Royce with a top rope jump into a stunner. Big pop for the former Athena

* Baron Corbin vs. Tye Dillinger never starts as Apollo Crews rushes Corbin and beats him down to a huge pop

* NXT Women's Champion Bayley, Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley vs. Blake, Murphy and Alexa Bliss is next. The crowd is electric and everything is over. They're singing, "Heyyy we want some Bayleyyy." Alexa takes Bayley's title and runs away with it. Bayley hits a Belly to Bayley on Blake or Murphy and then chases off after Bliss. Ryder hits a Rough Ryder to get the win for his team

* Nia Jax squashed indie wrestler Deonna Purrazzo

* The Mechanics defeated The Vaudevillains by submission to win the NXT Tag Team Titles. Simon Gotch was cursing at fans after the match. This was described as "insane"

* Samoa Joe comes out for a promo and is met by boos. Finn Balor confronts him. They get into it and the referees hold them back but Joe is able to choke Finn down in the pile

November 18th Episode:

* Nia Jax squashed Carmella

* Chad Gable and Jason Jordan vs. The Ascension is next. Both teams got big pops. There were dueling chants of, "Gable-yah-Jordan-yah!" Gable and Jordan get the win with the assisted German suplex. Respect was shown from the teams after the match

* Emma defeated Mary Kate (Rosie Lottalove, Andrea) with the Emma-lock

* NXT Tag Team Champions The Mechanics defeated two enhancement talents, possibly Corey Hollis and John Skyler

* Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley for the NXT Women's Title is next. Bayley won with the Huggplex. Eva Marie came out to challenge her to a future title match. These were the loudest boos our correspondent has ever heard and they were unable to hear anything she said

Definitely seems like it. With the weekly Eva in Paris vignettes, and Bayley vs. Alexa wrapping up on these tapings, the timeline seems to indicate that this is the next Takeover title match.

No surprise to see the Vaudevillains lose the NXT Tag Team titles, as they just haven't been clicking since winning the belts. Surprising to see Dash & Dawson win the titles with little buildup (aside from beating them in an untelevised match in the Dusty Classic), but the tag division needs any kind of momentum it can get, so sporadic switch like this aren't so bad.

Also, it appears that Athena's match was likely a dark match.

Former Impact Wrestling / Ring Of Honor star Austin Aries was just spotted arriving at Full Sail University, the location of tonight’s NXT TV tapings.

Austin Aries, who has worked for both ROH and TNA this year, briefly stopped to sign autographs on his way into the venue. While he is present, his role is unclear and it is not confirmed that Aries will be used in an on-air capacity.

Due to TNA previously taping World Title Series matches over the summer, Aries is currently still appearing on Impact Wrestling on Destination America in the tournament.

Aries has been Tweeting regularly during NXT, while only making one general Tweet disassociating himself from TNA after his first World Title Series match aired, so I figured something was up (or that he was at least trying to get into NXT).

As for Gunner, it could be that he's just backstage visiting and trying to get break in, as he isn't as well known or have nearly as much in-ring credibility as Storm or Aries to bring the buzz they have if he popped up on an episode of NXT.

Cole is in charge until Regal returns to work after having the neck surgery, which should be Takeover. Balor and Joe come out for the signing and everything is going smooth until Finn goes to leave and Joe attacks him on the ramp from behind. Joe chokes Finn out in the middle of a referee pile

* The Vaudevillains vs. The Mechanics for the NXT Tag Team Titles is next. Dawson and Dash retain clean. After the match, Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady run down and attack the champs, chasing them off

* Asuka vs. Dana Brooke is next but Emma jumps Asuka from behind and they beat her down

* Apollo Crews defeated Jesse Sorensen. After the match, Crews accepted Baron Corbin's Takeover challenge

* Eva Marie vs. NXT Women's Champion Bayley is in progress. Nia Jax has already pulled one referee out of the ring to help Eva. Eva has almost stolen a few pins as well. Bayley retains after a super Belly to Bayley. After the match, Nia attacks Bayley and leaves her laying

December 2nd Episode:

This looks like the weakest Takeover in sometime, joe/finn and emma/asuka are going to have to be other worldly for this show to stack up against previous specials
