WWE 2K16 featuring Finn Bálor & Largest Roster in WWE Game history

WWE fans now have a half-dozen reasons to be ready for the fight of their gaming lives in WWE 2K16.

At the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles on Tuesday, 2K announced the first six Superstars and Divas who will appear in WWE 2K16. The six representatives from WWE and NXT represent the first members of a gaming roster that 2K promises will be the largest in WWE video game history.

The first six Superstars and Divas confirmed to appear in WWE 2K16 are:

Seth Rollins
Daniel Bryan
Dean Ambrose
Bad News Barrett
Paige
Finn Bálor
The identities of other Superstars and Divas participating in WWE 2K16 will become known in the weeks ahead of the highly-anticipated video game’s release this fall on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. WWE 2K16 arrives in stores on Oct. 27, 2015, in North America and on Oct. 30, 2015, internationally.

New York – June 16, 2015 – 2K today announced the first six roster members in WWE 2K16, the forthcoming release in the flagship WWE video game franchise. Poised to offer the largest playable roster in WWE games history, WWE 2K16 will include a variety of talent, including WWE Superstars Seth Rollins™, Daniel Bryan®, Dean Ambrose™ and Bad News Barrett™, WWE Diva Paige™ and NXT® Superstar Finn Bálor™. Artwork depicting the roster members is currently on display from June 16-18, 2015 in 2K’s booth, #1001 in the South Hall, at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles. Additional announcements for WWE 2K16 are expected within the coming weeks.

Developed collaboratively by Yuke’s and Visual Concepts, a 2K studio, WWE 2K16 is not yet rated by the ESRB and in development for the PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment systems, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system and Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft. WWE 2K16 is currently scheduled for release on October 27, 2015 in North America and October 30, 2015 internationally.

every year these games come out, i go "THIS IS THE YEAR IM SKIPPING SCREW THIS" and then i buy it. Might as well go pre order and get the terminator, cause that's real dumb.

New/better looking Sharpshooter

Bought the game Yesterday, still got the 360. I prefer Universe of a career mode as I like booking/GM mode stuff. I like it, the game play is similar, but better than 14. Online is running much better than last year, no announcing glitches(like calling titles different names than what they are), and the roster is fantastic. Creation is also much better. Weapons no longer break, so you can keep using them, which makes like Extreme Rules matches a lot better. The default moves for wrestlers are much better and more accurate, with better animation(RKO for example), plus every non-submission finisher you can hit 'b' to automatically pin. The AI is especially better, which makes for a more fun match(like they actually trie to win/do pins before even getting a finisher).

Having tons of fun with Universe and online. So much talent in the game, I had to create a 4th Majoor brand(WCW as they have an early 90's Clash arena). Also, awesomem OMG!'s and catch finisher, like you can reverse Seth's curb stomp into an RKO like at WM31.

I recommend it, best WWE game in a very long time.

bought it saturday, i dunno, it seems better. i still say the graphics are turned down from last year's ps4 game, but i guess i'd rather have all the stuff then graphics and no stuff.

Just started tinkering with universe mode and boy does this seem unchanged. Guess career mode is the way to play this year.

I don't understand the point of this mode. I don't like watching half the random jobbers on Monday Night Raw in real life. I don't want to play video game matches with them just on the offchance, I see a cutscene of someone attacking someone else after a match.

Some of the random 3-way and 4-way matches are hilarious though.

I'm having more fun just playing single matches. I haven't touched career mode. I touched 2K showcase a little bit, but I got mad trying to beat Bret Hart and it kept having me do all this BS that made me loss the match.

What is your opinion of the new submission mechanic? I get what you're supposed to do conceptually, but in practice, I can't figure it out. I try to avoid submission finishers if I can.

I haven't played Universe yet, but the only changes I am aware of are the personality traits and being able to have someone appear on more than one show regularly. But yeah, My Career seems best so far. That is if I can get the timing down on the pin meter. I do like how the matches feel more intense though. Slow paced maybe, but a win feels like a win.

Universe is actually improved in small ways. Makes it feel more... Organic? Living? The storylines are less repetitive and make sense for the characters.

Yes

They especially seem to do so in my custom fed. Sting/Orton wrestle in a singles match every single week without fail.
