Final episode of Impact Wrestling on Spike to air on 9/24

The September 24th 'No Surrender' special episode of Impact Wrestling will be the last episode of TNA programming on Spike TV, according to Meltzer.

No word if TNA has any upcoming deals with another TV network. Last weeks Impact did over 1.4 million viewers. I'm going to make an educated guess and say that TNA will get another TV deal, as those are good numbers/consistent numbers.

I think if spike drops Impact tufftv should pick it up which is digital network that focus on men like spike does tufftv.com

If Spike TV doesn't reconsider TNA is dead ya'll.

--With the exception of the January U.K. tour, there is nothing on the TNA schedule after 9/7 in Fayetteville. Late September dates are canceled and plans for several sets of upcoming tapings in New York are not being advertised. Rafael Morfi, who was the company's Director of Live Events, has left the company and will be taking a job with the New York Cosmos soccer team.

The scheduled TNA live events that were canceled for late September were pulled as the company may end up taping television in New York City at the Manhattan Center that same week, PWInsider.com has learned.

As previously noted here on the site, the company has a hold on several dates at the NYC venue and were finalizing plans as to how many days they would tape. Since TNA has taped through 9/25 already, if they tape a large number of episodes, they run the risk of taping in advance of Bound for Glory, which lock them into being unable to change finishes on the PPV as well as potentially spoiling the outcome of the PPVs top matches.

PWInsider.com has also learned, however, that the company is working with UTA to evaluate their current live event strategy and that there could be changes coming to how their shows are routed, presented, etc.

Isn't the rumor that those late September dates could be used mostly for "One Night Only" PPV shows?

I suppose it won't really matter though if they can't get a renewal with Spike or a new TV deal elsewhere. As for where they end up, I just don't see what networks would want to pick them up, nor do I see any networks with a strong enough television presence for it to matter.

Channels like AXS TV (formerly HDNet) and MavTV have shown/do show pro wrestling, but neither network has even close to the visibility that Spike does.

Also they have to pay their agency 15% of what they get. So if they get less than what they've already gotten from Spike on a smaller network like that they're going to be making WAY less.

They're fucked. Good for their live events guy getting a deal with an NASL club.

Maybe both? They're doing bethlehem a lot recently so maybe they struck a deal with the Sands there for a quick return date that they feel obligated to fill regardless of outcome...
Does seem very odd though

I mean they need stuff in the can if they get renewed or picked up by someone else, so it makes sense I guess. Like imagine Spike does a surprise renewal and then TNA goes "oh cool but uh....we don't have a show for this week, so....."

They have the UK & all the other international tv deals still so I imagine they might be taping for those and maybe just put Impact on youtube while they hope another network will take them in.

there was reports that at one taping, that besides spketv head being at the one taping that other networks exes were also present. so who knows whats going on.

I think it should be brought up that once again TNA thinks it can run against KOT.

Pretty much if they want to live they best be on their best behavior.

We don't know the money deal behind this. If spike (rightfully IMO) doesn't wanna pay for impact then they might not financially make it through DEC. Also their top guys are leaving in the middle of big angles again. And kot. This is pretty trivial as far as I'm concerned

I'm glad they got the chance to at least finish out the year.

I'm just happy there will be Japenese Bound for Glory.

Ok so they're taped through the 24th of September, that's two shows before Bound For Glory. Are they going to be taping stuff that will air after BFG from the 16-19? Also here is some house show news.
