Considering that they aren't under contract, I thought that the American Pitbulls got plenty of offense. It was by no means the typical Ascension squash match, which usually doesn't even have one of the opposing team's members get the chance to tag in.

For the debut of two guys essentially working an internship with the WWE, it was a pretty good showcase for two new characters in John Cahill & Derek Billington (Davey Richards must love being named after the Dynamite Kid). They got to hit a lot of their spots and were put over quite well by Tensai on commentary.

It was also further evidence of how well Konnor & Viktor are finally starting to click as a team. I wasn't high on this incarnation of The Ascension initially, but they are really hitting their stride right now, and could be destined for the main roster soon. The only thing holding them back is how the WWE manages to fit their characters on the main roster without coming off as too hokey.

Bo Dallas is also at his peak right now. He's excelling as a heel and even the all white gear was a great touch to further put over his current persona.

I liked the opening tag match as well. Zayn & Kidd could make a great team if that's an idea that the WWE was looking into. Cesaro was an absolute beast with that overhead one-handed backbreaker on Kidd. I really hate that Kruger is heading towards that terrible new Adam Rose gimmick though.

Looks like the rumors of Rusev being close to a main roster call-up are true as he's been getting a massive push lately. And a win over a main roster star in Kofi Kingston is a clear sign that he will be called up sooner than later.

Emma vs. Natalya was a very good match, although not as good as Paige vs. Natalya (likely because it got more time). Either way, this is the type of women's matches that should be given the opportunity to be showcased on the main roster.

The sing-off between Big Cass and Aiden English was quite entertaining. I was hoping we would see more of Enzo Amore on his motorized scooter though.

The 2-out-of-3 falls match was good, but clearly a let down given the amount of hype and expectations that were set for it on commentary and by Sami Zayn in his promo on NXT Rewind. The booking of Leo Kruger in this feud would make it seem as though the powers that be aren't very high on him at the moment, especially with the rumors of his gimmick change to that ridiculous Adam Rose character.

The only thing really worth watching on this episode is the backstage promo between Tyler Breeze and Adrian Neville. Breeze is absolute gold in that segment. Words can't do justice to how good that was.

The matches on this show aren't too memorable. It's still a decent show, but totally skippable.

The main event is proof of why WWE should have signed the American Wolves. That Tornado match is pretty rough to watch for most of it. And Hunico & Camacho are just a terrible fit to be working with The Ascension. NXT desperately needs new tag teams.

I feel like the matches this week were placed in the wrong order. Neville vs. Breeze was a far better match than Rusev vs. Kofi (which went last), so it should have closed the show, especially since it was advertised a week in advance like a main event. Bo vs. Mojo could have closed the show too since it featured the NXT Champion.

Not that Rusev vs. Kofi was a bad match, it was a decent bout that showed Rusev could work a longer match. But Breeze vs. Neville was just more entertaining, and it certainly proved that in addition to having the best gimmick in wrestling today, "Prince Pretty" can really hold his own in the ring.

Just watched this weeks NXT (on time for once) and Bo Dallas is such an amazing heel. I live in Utah and he more or less plays the part of a mormon hyper-stereotype. It is really good stuff. Also, I love the Sami vs Cesaro feud and I am glad it is continuing.

NXT has been really phoning it in the past few weeks. I hope the show gets back to delivering a high quality product again after ArRIVAL.

This episode was a bit better thanks to a solid main event between Neville and Breeze, as well as a decent Emma vs. Summer Rae match.

I'm assuming that there won't be an episode on Hulu next week, as they were pushing ArRIVAL hard. But there were some references to there being a new episode on Wednesday, especially since there was plenty of material filmed that has been airing in an order different from the tapings.

watching nxt on the network now. Is Flair's daughter wearing 6 inch heels or is she just gigantic? This is the first time I've really seen her, she towered over Emma and was taller than Ric  Shocked

EDIT: Oh that match is this week. Yea, she is just a tall drink of water.

Charlotte is just that gigantic. She was a volleyball player after all.

I haven't watched the entire episode yet, but I did make it a point to watch the Adam Rose debut. I want to be optimistic about it but this reminds of when WCW turned Mike Awesome into That 70's Guy.

Granted, Leo Kruger is nowhere near as spectacular as Mike Awesome was, but he's a very good worker who had a character with serious potential. Maybe Kruger wouldn't have been a main event act, but I still think it had a higher ceiling than Adam Rose does.
