WWE signings and releases

NXT will be crazy the last quarter of the year and hopefully they are called up before or just after Mania at the longest.

WWE has come to terms with Fergal "Prince" Devitt, PWInsider.com has confirmed. The former IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion will report to WWE NXT in Florida once his work visa goes through.

He is expected to report to developmental in about 1-2 months, but he is signed.

Can't wait for the William Regal vs Devitt and William Regal vs KENTA matches.

That is crazy to me that Devitt and KENTA signed.

maybe that cruiserweight show will be a thing?

Two more people for Swagger to lose to and for Zeb want to deport later lol. good thing they are coming over. Only thing I don't get is why they need to go to NXT? I guess to understand the style of WWE?

Look what happened to Sin Cara (azul). After that I feel like no one will go without an NXT stint.

Super excited for devitt, although I'm sure they won't let him use the paint that's been such a sick look for him recently. Oh well. KENTA should have the gimmick where he murders people. With kicks.

Not only the style but it give them time to get use to working in the WWE rings as I am sure the New Japan & NOAH rings differs some. Devitt will get a chance to to work on his mic skills some, Kenta wil getl a chance to learn English better before going out on the road. It also gives them some time to set up a home life in the states.

It not going hurt them to go there for a little while and I also think it will be great for all NXT talent to work with these international vets.

WWE re-signed Sakemoto to be KENTA's manager, so he can obviously cut promos for him.

Will Steen be NXT?

WWE has signed Willie Mack (real name Willie McClinton Jr.) to a developmental deal, PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources.

Mack has been a regular on the California independent scene since 2006, most notably wrestling for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and Championship Wrestling from Hollywood. He's got a ton of charisma and is really entertaining. This is a great signing in my opinion.

Although we have heard from sources inside and outside of WWE that Willie Mack was signed to a developmental deal, in the last few minutes, I've heard that my earlier report may be premature.

Mack has been on WWE's radar since going through a tryout camp, so it may that some believed he has been signed. I was told just now he hasn't undergone any of the WWE medical testing, which means that he can't be "officially" signed yet.

Once we get through coverage of the WWE conference call, I'll be looking more into this, but want to err on the side of caution, so I have pulled my earlier post and apologize for any error.

ROH star Kevin Steen and independent wrestler Willie Mack are expected to be offered WWE developmental contracts, according to a well placed source.

Powell's POV: I was told that ACH and Rocky Romero will not be getting offers at this time. Roderick Strong took part in the camp that included Steen and ACH, but there's no word yet as to whether the company intends to offer him a deal. As always, the talent must pass WWE medical testing before the deals will be made official.

Willie Macks interview on Colt's podcast was one of the strangest, but best. It involves midgets, being a juggalo, and his father who sleeps with EVERYONE.

In all, Mack seems like a solid dude and I am hopeful for him. His story is a pretty cool one.

Good for him, always liked that dude and for whatever reason his indy career never seemed to take off so I'm really glad he's getting a shot, he's certainly unique

Willie's a really fun, really likable performer. He'd make for some fantastic matches in NXT.

They really did need more guys for Russev to squash.

can you imagine a Steen/Zayn feud???? Or maybe even team them together???? It just might work

I'd like to think Vince woke up today and was like "You know what we need? More fat guys."

But really, awesome. Willie Mack and Kevin Steen are exactly the kind of people they should have been signing for ages, but always passed on.

This is great news all around. It seems to me like Steen has worked really hard to demonstrate his commitment to wrestling. Vince and the rest of the E often conflate physique with work ethic but both Steen and Mack can GO and all they need is a chance to prove it.

I am a Willy Mack Fan, but I am a Kevin Steen enthusiast.

This is LITERALLY the best news.

I know he did a NOAH tour teaming with Cabana, I think he did a "tour" of Canada as well recently
