WWE Champion Brock Lesnar walks out on WWE before RAW

As reported last night in the PWInsider Elite section, WWE World Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar was backstage at Raw but was not used. Lesnar flew on his private plane to Nashville for the taping earlier in the day on Monday.
According to those who saw him backstage yesterday, Lesnar was obviously angry about something and one source claimed he walked out of the taping before it ended.

There are different stories making the rounds, but PWInsider.com has been told it was not something on the creative end that set Lesnar off, but something regarding his business relationship with WWE. No one we spoke with was willing to elaborate beyond that, but several made it clear it had nothing to do with any planned booking.

Vince McMahon acknowledged the issue during a Smackdown production meeting today, a source claimed, but did not elaborate on the issue. Lesnar has returned home to Minnesota and is not backstage at Smackdown.

Lesnar is not advertised to appear again for WWE until the 3/9 Raw taping in Pittsburgh, PA, which gives WWE several weeks to work out whatever the issue is.

Imagine if they can't work this out before 'Mania? Talk about a fucked up situation.

I am guessing that the WWE thinks there is an in to keeping him around after Mania, which is a rumor that is picking up some momentum. They were talking extension and Brock made a power play.

This will be fine and I would be shocked if it effected mania.

I read another report while perusing Facebook that indicated Roman Reigns failed a drug test and Lesnar didn't want to lose to someone who failed a drug test.

WWE has issued statements to the sheets saying that story was 100% false

Betting this is all a work.

I really hope they are working the internet to give us keyboard warriors a reason to care. I want them to convince me that Brock wants to actually kill Reigns.

Meltz said they were renegotiating a deal and that he didn't like something and left and that he has 4 dates left on his current deal. Said it has nothing to do with creative or jobbing to The Big Dog.

- The Wrestling Observer has some new details about Brock Lesnar’s issues with WWE that caused him not to be used on Raw. As you surely recall, Lesnar was booked for the show but wasn’t used because he was visibly angry over what have been reported to be “business issues” with his contract renegotiations with the company. Paul Heyman went out on his own for the segment and Lesnar ended up leaving the arena before the show was over.

According to the site, the argument between Lesnar and Vince McMahon became especially heated. While the specific issue with the contract isn’t know, it is known that there have been issues with recent contract negotiations where after coming to a verbal agreement, the physical contract contains language that doesn’t match the original agreement such as lengthy non-competes clauses. WWE began trying to push those clauses after CM Punk and Alberto Del Rio left.

According to the site, things were bad enough that WWE’s creative team asked McMahon if they should come up with an alternate scenario for WrestleMania that doesn’t include Lesnar in case things broke down to that level. McMahon told them not to and suggested that he would sue for breach of contract if Lesnar refused to work the show.
