TNA done with Universal Studios moving to New York & Casinos

- TNA is set to run three shows at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City this summer. A source says that the company is paying a total of $300,000 to the venue in rent and production cost for the shows, which will take place in June, July, and August.

The source noted that this is a possible move in order to impress Spike TV, which is headquartered in New York and has yet to come to a new agreement with the company. It isn't known whether Spike is paying any of the bill, though it is believed that it was TNA management that negotiated the deal.

This crowd might wreck 3 TNA shows

TNA has announced the end of the company scheduled for July in August in co ordinance with three shows in the Hammerstein Ballroom.
Sources are calling this a mercy kill, with Spike TV covering the funeral costs given their headquarters are in New York.

It was reported yesterday by PW.net that TNA might be spending around $300,000 to run three shows at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. However, PWInsider (via Wrestlezone) reports that it may not be that much after all.

The report claims that someone who used to work for TNA could be spreading false information. There were some who wanted Dixie Carter to run Slammiversary in New York this year, but she chose Texas.

Seems like some former employee was lying about the cost.

I mean if it's 100,000$ a show, ROH wouldn't be running there.

From what I understand the $300,000 amount also includes production costs.

Another Update:

According to Pwinsider.com, sources associated with the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York have confirmed that they have had discussions with TNA about the promotion running events there in the summer. TNA had staff members go to the Hammerstein Ballroom and do a site survey several months ago. TNA is looking to run at the venue due to the company not being able to lock up regular dates at Universal Studios Orlando.

TNA is also looking into different casinos that they could possibly partner with to run TV tapings.

At this time, no dates have been locked in for the Hammerstein Ballroom.

According to Pwinsider.com, TNA has completed a deal to run Impact Wrestling tapings at the Manhattan Center's Grand Ballroom this summer. The first tapings will likely take place in the last week of June. The first set of tapings may be announced on tonight's edition on Impact.

After the iMPACT! Wrestling tapings last night, Jeremy Borash reportedly announced that TNA did not know when they will be back to tape future editions of Impact in Orlando. Dixie Carter also wrote on Twitter that they will be “headed to NYC for a while.” She also talked about there not being anything on the books for another TNA return to Universal Studios.

iMPACT! episodes have been taped up until June 12 before Slammiversary, which is set for June 15. A live iMPACT! Wrestling show is set for Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in mid-June, and more than one episode will likely be filmed. After that, TNA will tape iMPACT! Wrestling in New York City, likely through August.

The PA show is at the Sun Resort Casino and the NYC shows are the Manhattan Center. I read a report a few weeks ago, TNA will be doing Impact's at other Casino's in the future, which will be cheaper than running regular arena shows.

It was on PWInsider, Meltzer's site, and others months ago. Before inking the NYC & Casino deal, TNA was looking for new places to film because Universal told them they had to go, as WWE didn't want them filming every show in Orlando because of NXT & the WWE Performance Center, also WWE is supposed to have some type thing at Universal Studios(I think it was the Hall of Fame for tourist, I could be wrong on that, can't remember exactly what it was)
