PWTorch has learned that Puerto Rican wrestler “Mr. 450” Hammett has been added to WWE’s Global Cruiserweight Series.

GCS is a weird mix of the legit best cruisers in the world and guys local to full sail (mr. 450 is a florida indie guy like lince).

Mr. 450 has been building a strong reputation for himself in Puerto Rico, Mexico, and other parts of South America lately. Plus, he's been on NXT before, so it makes sense.
I'm just surprised he's still light enough to be considered a Cruiserweight, as he's put on some considerable size as of late.

I like both of those choices from their two matches. Yehi is going to be good, but he's still developing. And as much as I love Hot Sauce (and there's other guys he should be in instead of), Gulak is one the WWE has been praising for his Evolve seminars.

So excited to see Dorada in the CWC. This tournament needed a credible luchador, and he is definitely the best fit for the role.
Very cool to see long-time veteran Tyson Dux get this opportunity. It's also nice to see the inclusion of established WWE veterans Tajiri and Brian Kendrick, as they provide from familiarity for fans who may not be following the majority of these names from the indy and international scene.
In regards to Mr. 450, he has been putting on some considerable size as of late, and WWE seems to be insistent on treating the 205 lbs. limit for this as a shoot. It could also be a case where things just didn't work out.

from pwinsider
Most of, if not all of, the 32 competitors for the WWE Cruiserweight Classic, which begins taping this Thursday, are in Orlando, Florida to begin work for the filming of the tournament as well as undergo physicals and blood tests.
As of today, the brackets for the first round of the tournament have not been 100% completed.
We are also told that WWE has brought in some talents in case they are needed as alternates for the tournament. We've heard a few possibilities but have not 100% confirmed those names.
The 205 lb. weight limit for the tournament is legitimate and will actually be enforced. We are told you can expect a very sport-like presentation to the tournament and how it is being produced for the WWE Network.

Mauro and Daniel Bryan are going to be the announce team. There will be a bracket special on the Network and it starts July 13.

Some awesome Bryan stuff
From observer
Ibushi told a funny story when he talked about how he got into the tournament. He said that WWE people wanted him in February but the only person who knew his number was Finn Balor, so Balor called him. He said when he went to Dallas to work for Evolve, that he was also supposed to meet with WWE. He was shown at the Takeover show in Dallas. So when he was backstage, he did a high five to Vince McMahon, but noted that he had never seen Vince McMahon and didn’t know who he was. Anyway, somehow someone must have asked him about meeting Vince and he, not knowing, said he didn’t know who he was, and said people backstage were very upset at him.
He said they made him an offer to come full-time and he turned it down. He said they continued to make him offers and he accepted coming for the tournament but he’s only agreed to the tournament and said he still has things he wants to do in Japan.
Editing this in for those curious of what the arena set up looks like

The Bracketology show on the network is incredibly well done, IMO one of the best produced WWE shows in forever
got a ton of guys over, and I thought Swann, Perkins, Gallagher and Kendrick were the standouts from that show
If WWE doesn't offer Kendrick a deal after that sit down he did, they're nuts

It was really good, wish they could work some pieces and analysis onto raw instead of 4 Stephanie promos.

There's a rumor that Tajiri has signed a deal and will be staying with the WWE beyond his involvement in the CWC.TeeBeeKay wrote:The Bracketology show on the network is incredibly well done, IMO one of the best produced WWE shows in forever

As for Kendrick, it's very likely WWE has offered him deals or already has something in place ever since his previous cameos in NXT, as well as his work at the Performance Center and training with Eva Marie. If not, then yeah, he's definitely a perfect fit to be one of those veterans who could serve to help build new talent on the main roster as an active performer and assisting with coaching the younger talent.

Maybe when Raw goes to 4 hours they'll finally have enough time to do it

HBK's mom yelling at him was a pretty good story.
