    I don't see that occurring.

Don't get me wrong, NXT is a very hot product right now, but the likelihood of it drawing a large crowd at an 18,000 seat venue like Barclays Center, nevermind outdrawing SummerSlam, is highly unlikely.

What I can see happening is the seating configuration being adjusted for a smaller crowd, and if it sells out, they'll release additional tickets.

A common practice of event promoters is to pick large venues and adjust the configuration for smaller crowds. That way they can boast something like, "NXT SOLD OUT BARCLAYS CENTER!" It comes as an impressive statement and the general public won't question it because they don't care about minor details.

SummerSlam tends to use a big set, I'm guessing NXT will use a smaller one. If that's the case, TakeOver could potentially outdraw SummerSlam.

Yeah I think Dave said they were setting up for 5,000 to start and if demand is there they can increase it, but splitting the nxt type fanbase(ROH show with Okada/Nak/Kushida and I think PWS is running a show with Rey and Kenny Omega that same night in Jersey) I just don't see anyway they come close to selling that whole building out

I expect we're getting something like

    Balor v Joe

Sasha v either Charlotte or Sasha

Enzo and Cass winning the belts

but other than that not sure what would be on the card that anyone would actually be excited about to draw

    Maybe a Uhaa debut?

Also I've decided to try and get tickets to this. If I fail I can always go to ROH.

    Meant Becky

I was wondering if Itami will be cleared in time so they can do Balor/Itami and Joe/Owens

The thinking is that now that this has been announced, ROH might move to an afternoon show to give everyone time to do both shows.

Shocked they're giving Owens a rematch. Excited, but shocked.

WWE always does the mandatory title rematch though. Why not use Owens to sell tickets to the Brooklyn while they can, and seemingly use this as his last hurrah in NXT.

Transition to super indy fed complete!!!!!

Great news, I don't know if there is any potential as far as continued working with NJPW but I think nxt would be a great place for young lion excursions and maybe a big name every now and again for a takeover show

Huge political move: New Japan sending Liger to work NXT show against ROH

    Thursday, 16 July 2015 18:41

In what is a major political move, New Japan Pro Wrestling has booked Jushin Liger to appear on 8/22 for WWE on its NXT Brooklyn show, to face Tyler Breeze.

New Japan had already booked Shinsuke Nakamura, Kazuchika Okada and Kushida for ROH that same night, also in Brooklyn.

There are other significant moves being made behind-the-scenes that don't involve New Japan, regarding NXT and ROH that are likely to become evident in short order.

We'll see how it all shakes out but I would guess the potential big winners are AJ and the Bucks, possibly being able to fill in their stateside dates with nxt gigs

I should probably stop thinking about this because Im too excited and probably getting way too far ahead of myself

Obviously 100% wild and crazy speculation on my part, but I did just notice AJ is oddly not booked for ROH that weekend

To add to previous wild speculation, the ONLY booking AJ has after G1 is for KOT, like I dont know how often he normally books himself out or if he just wants time off after G1, but it seemed odd for him to have a whole month off

To SBR or other New Yorkers, how long of a trip/how much of a pain in the ass is it to get from Yankee Stadium to Barclays?

I don't think I'm going to make this trip, unless my dad really wants to see a game at Yankee Stadium and I can convince him to do nxt as well, so just curious if doing both in a day was possible, the game is a 1:05 first pitch on saturday

Yankee Stadium to Barclays is actually super easy. All the trains on River Ave, the 4, B & D all go directly to Barclays. Its about a 45 minute trip without any "train traffic"

I did a Yankee Stadium day game to a Fall Out Boy concert at Barcalys last year and it was shockingly efficient.
