Jeff Jarrett buying TNA? GFW/TNA merger? Rumored to be announced tonight on Impact live

Okay folks, so let’s all be clear; this is a rumor and there isn’t a lot of solid information for it at this time. There is, however, some speculation based on circumstantial evidence. As mentioned by Court Bauer on MLW Radio, there is a rumor going around that Jeff Jarrett is attempting to buy majority control in TNA.

Bauer was clear that this was just a rumor and not anything he knew as fact. It would conceivably fit with all the teases that Jarrett has been making over the last few days about a big potential deal for GFW. The rumors suggest that it could be a merger between GFW and TNA, and even suggest that he could appear on Impact tonight to announce the news.

Jarrett has yet to reply to requests for comment on the rumors.

This was an incredibly eventful show for TNA.

Jeff Jarrett made a completely unexpected return to TNA, Matt Morgan & Hernandez (who was also on tonight's episode of Lucha Underground) both made their returns to TNA, and there was even a totally random Vader appearance!

There's no way that Jarrett's return is just for the KOTM match at Slammiversary, and I'm looking forward to what the fallout of all of this is.

Perhaps TNA is bought out and rebranded as GFW, while the Impact Wrestling name could be retained for TV purposes, if necessary.

Even Jarrett quickly said there's stuff he can't say right now. Plus, on twitter a bunch a 'legal' stuff he can't talk about yet.

Word is that it will include some form of TNA participation at the July 24th Global Force Wrestling TV tapings in Las Vegas, NV. Magnus is believed to already be booked on the show, and others from TNA could be added. More details as they become available.

GFW doesn't have an established roster at all. Hell, most of the guys they've been using may not even be on their actual roster.

So apparently on that Magnus front, he is leaving TNA following Slammiversary on Sunday, but will be on TV for a few more weeks due to the ongoing tapings happening before the PPV.

He is joining GFW as part of their roster and will be billed under his actual name Nick Aldis.

There's also a rumor that if Jarrett does end up buying back majority control of TNA, he would likely be re-branding it as Global Force Wrestling.
