    TNA's official Twitter account is now following former WWE announcer Josh Mathews. Mathews was recently backstage at TNA's debut show in New York City last month a short time after he was let go by WWE. Mathews reportedly has a relationship with TNA's John Gaburick from their time in WWE.

    “Today, Josh Mathews was spotted outside of TNA Wrestling Headquarters in Nashville, TN. Matthews would later enter a closed door meeting with TNA executives. No details on what was said, however IMPACTWrestling.com will keep you current when additional details are available.”

    Former WWE announcer Josh Mathews has been teasing all day via his Twitter @realjoshmathews that he is now working for TNA. Mathews, who hasn't tweeted since Jun 21--and was released by WWE on June 25--tweeted a picture of a Tom Petty concert in Nashville and said his boss was better than everyone else, and then retweeted a direct question asking if he was with TNA now without commenting on the tweet.

    Shore's Slant: Mathews denied he would be appearing on show tonight, but tonight's show was taped 134 years ago and Josh was still in his 90-day no-compete then. He did, however, officially hype tonight's show with the official hashtag. So there's that. I think it's safe to say we will see Josh Mathews on TNA television at some point in the future.

    Hopefully he's the new PBP guy, might be TNA's best signing after all these years.
