Big Wrestling/MMA News week ahead?

from today's daily Meltzer update...
-I hate to say this, but there are a lot of things going around that indicate this coming week will be one of the biggest news weeks of the year. The first two may not be done deals yet. Story No. 3 is a lock and will happen, which is Thursday's announcement of the WWE network number.

WWE numbers are lower than they hoped

TNA multiyear contracts for Snisky and Big Zeke.

WWE network numbers will be low because of cheapskates like Anthony Gundacker and the like.

Sounds like from what I posted in the TNA section, they are either moving to another Network or going under.

- Okay so take this as a rumor for now, but it's a pretty big rumor and is getting some traction around the internet, thus our reporting it to you. WrestleZone reports that Dixie Carter held a meeting at TNA headquarters in Nashville today and that it concerned the results of a meeting with Spike TV representatives on Thursday afternoon.

According to the site, multiple sources close to both TNA and Spike TV have told them that Spike doesn't want to renew its contact with TNA, which would mean that Impact would be cancelled if they can't find a new network very quickly. There's no word on whether the negotiations are still trying to work out a last-minute deal or not.

TNA's deal with Spike is reportedly set to expire in October. It's important to note that the show is still under contract to air in other countries, but whether that would be economically feasible without the revenue from an American cable network or not is up in the air.

I mean WWE resigned with Universal/NBC because they seemed like the only interested party. If that was the market for WWE, I cannot imagine what network, if any, is going after TNA.

Rumor has it that Jarrett's fed has a major TV deal in the works. With Jeff still owning part of TNA, they should just merge the to feds. It would make the most sense, it would kick of GFW with a bang when they start late this year and ,it would keep TNA on TV in a way.

What in TNA is worth saving though? Like sign some of the talent sure, but combining a dying fed into your start up doesn't seem like good business.

JJ's promotion was only a rouse for TNA to keep searching for a better network, DUH!
