AIW Thread

Vipes & I will be headed to AIW tonight for this show:

For a show that isn't one of their annual or "big" events, this is a fantastic card. Really looking forward to Hero/Kingston, Alexander/Uhaa and Sabin/Vega though.

Some thoughts:

1) Dudes on TV- excellent team name
2) HERO VS KINGSTON!
3) This card rules
4) Read Cheech and was mind fucked when it was followed by not Cloudy.

Great show tonight! Nice healthy turnout audience wise and really fantastic in ring action. Hero and Kingston beat the holy hell out of each other. The six way scramble was crazy and I keep falling in love with Candice. Also, EC3 couldn't be there again. Hurt arm and whatnot still. Luckily he had another Dude on TV to replace him as Matt Cross' partner, that being Shiima Xion! Huzzah! I'll report when I get home. Super fun show though!

I really enjoy the work of the Beaver Boys.

Long story short, GREAT show. Get a hold of it if only for the scramble match and Hero/Kingston. AIW is doing great things and they're growing more and more each month. They projected 350 people last night and got 500. Pretty damn good for the first night in the new venue.

Also Skiff, Beaver Boys were great and got a "Please Come Back" chant. They looked really happy at the reaction they got. So good on them.

Yeah, the scramble was pure madness and absolutely hilarious. RSP & Dick Justice did a fat-guy lucha/indy stand off that was beyond glorious.

Did they ever get enough money to save their old venue or is this their new venue?

They actually raised enough for the old venue but for whatever reason the owners of the venue decided they didn't want the money and pretty much told AIW to pound salt. So AIW found this place which is much nicer and drew a great crowd for the new places debut.

The Bucks will be debuting in AIW on their April show.

Also, the Bucks will indeed debut in April. AIW is REALLY loading these shows beyond all belief.

I know it is fucking impossible and probably kind of dickish, but if they had him opposite the hard cam jumping on the trampoline in the background for the whole show I would buy the dvd in an instant!

lol Oh man, that'd be golden. I'd love to see the reactions from the roster as they came out.

Also just announced for the April show, making her AIW debut will be Mickie James. Where the fuck did AIW get all this money?

Did they just keep all the money they raised to save the Turner's Hall?

They offered refunds if everyone wanted, apparently a great many people opted for them to keep the cash. Which seems to be paying off. And apparently the venue expenses are better at the new place even though it's a billion times nicer. So things are really shaping up for AIW. I look forward to how potentially crazy the JLIT may be.

That's awesome, good for them, maybe I'll be able to make it back out to a show this summer
